Coolselector 2 makes the component calculation for high-pressure transcritical CO2 systems

With the latest update Coolselector 2, you can now calculate components for transcritical high-pressure side systems from an application perspective. This allows you to select additional components with a better overview, giving you a more complete picture of your design. You can plan the overarching framework for your transcritical system and select optimal expansion valves, helping you maximize efficiency. You’ll also save time and ensure the system’s structural integrity.

Danfoss made it easy to configure different system layouts, dimension components, and determine system performance under different operational conditions. You can configure anything from a transcritical system with a high-pressure valve and a gas bypass valve to a system with parallel compressor operation, high-pressure lift ejectors, and liquid ejectors. Simply determine the right valves based on load calculations and real-life situations. Then, pick the solutions you want to try, see the COP value change, and choose what works best for you.

If you’re working with low-pressure lift ejector systems, component selection is straightforward—as they are a special base system.

The benefits of using CO2 refrigeration systems are recognized worldwide. CO2 has a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 1, which is significantly lower than many other refrigerants. And while CO2 requires high-pressure conditions, we can offer components and solutions that help you build a safe and reliable system.

Danfoss full range of Multi Ejectors covers your needs for all system sizes—applicable in all climates. Company offer system managers, pack and case controllers, electronic expansion valves, 3-way bypass valves for heat recovery, gas detectors, pressure and temperature sensors, line components, and much more.

Coolselector 2 makes the component calculation for high-pressure transcritical CO2 systems quick and easy.
