Copeland has released its inaugural Global Impact Report, outlining its sustainability strategy and corporate initiatives following its transition to an independent company in May 2023. The report details the company's efforts in environmental responsibility, social progress, and operational excellence.
The report is structured around Copeland’s three core mission pillars: Purpose, Performance, and People. It presents the company’s actions to support the energy transition, increase the use of low-GWP and natural refrigerants, and strengthen cold chain sustainability for food and pharmaceutical products.
Copeland has set specific climate goals, including a 55% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 32.5% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2033. The company reports implementing governance systems and ethical frameworks to support these targets.
The report also highlights initiatives focused on workplace safety, employee engagement, and community impact. Programs promoting well-being, inclusion, and a culture of ownership are part of the company’s broader strategy.
“Our inaugural Global Impact Report represents an important moment in Copeland’s history as a newly independent company with over 100 years of legacy,” said Ross B. Shuster, CEO of Copeland. “This report demonstrates how our technologies, innovations and our more than 18,000 colleagues around the world are working together to create sustainable solutions that improve lives and protect the planet.”
