Daikin Airconditioning France acquires Groupe BV

Daikin Airconditioning France acquires Groupe BV

Daikin Airconditioning France SAS reached an agreement to acquire 100 % of the shares of Groupe BV.

Daikin Airconditioning France is a 100% subsidiary of Daikin Europe N.V., who has been pursuing an ambitious external growth strategy for several years to reinforce its refrigeration and applied product line up and services.

This acquisition by Daikin Airconditioning France is the company’s first acquisition since it was founded in France in 1993. It is intended to support Daikin France's expansion into the service and maintenance market for cooling equipment in the industrial sector, as well as to develop a new business area with the introduction of a rental solutions package.

Daikin France will be welcoming all 43 Groupe BV employees, for whom continuity in employment is fully guaranteed.

"Initially, we opted for organic growth to support our own technical staff. Our targets for providing maintenance services to the industry are very high. In order to give ourselves the resources to achieve our ambitions, we therefore needed to rapidly enhance our skills in this area, and we therefore chose to rely on new experts in the field and on new methods that have proved useful within the Groupe BV. We look forward to the integration of the company’s teams into our organisation" explains Christophe Mutz, President of Daikin France.

An activity that spans the whole of Hauts-de-France

The Groupe BV (Est. in 2011), consists of two companies: BV Froid (Est. in 2009) and BV Services (Est. in 2014). The company was founded by Franck Buchner and Fabien Van Renterghem, and has grown into the group it is today under their management. From the start of its activities the company has specialised in the design, installation, maintenance and repair of refrigeration units for industrial use. It serves the whole of the Hauts-de-France region and has 2 agencies based in the departments of the Oise and the Somme.

The Groupe BV achieved a turnover of 7.1 million euros in their latest fiscal year, which ended 31st March 2021.

Franck Buchner and Fabien Van Renterghem will continue to support Groupe BV’s  development, who will retain its name and geographical locations.
