Daikin publishes Integrated and Sustainability Reports

Daikin Industries has released its Integrated Report 2025 and Sustainability Report 2025, covering the fiscal year 2024 (April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025). The reports provide detailed insight into the company’s management strategies, ESG performance, and environmental goals across its global operations, including the HVACR sector.

The Sustainability Report 2025 outlines Daikin’s key initiatives for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable practices across the HVACR value chain. In fiscal 2024, the company achieved a 27% reduction in net GHG emissions compared to a 2019 business-as-usual baseline, moving toward its 30% reduction target by 2025 .

In the HVACR field, Daikin continues to prioritize refrigerant management and energy-efficient solutions. The company expanded its refrigerant recovery and reclamation system to all service sites in Japan, aiming to enhance lifecycle management and reduce environmental impact. Internationally, it supported the establishment of refrigerant reclamation infrastructure in India and Southeast Asia .

To further decarbonize heating, Daikin promotes the transition from fossil fuel-based heating to electric heat pumps. The report highlights efforts to accelerate heat pump adoption in Europe and other regions, noting their importance in achieving carbon neutrality goals .

The company is also focusing on circular economy initiatives. In Europe and Japan, Daikin is developing recovery and reuse systems for used equipment and components. Additionally, it is collaborating with stakeholders to create standards and policies that enable resource-efficient HVACR systems .

Daikin’s Environmental Vision 2050 aims for net zero GHG emissions across the entire product lifecycle and business activities by 2050. This long-term target was officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in August 2025, confirming alignment with the 1.5°C pathway of the Paris Agreement .

“We are committed to contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through technologies and solutions that address climate change and energy challenges,” the company stated in the report.

Both reports are available in English via Daikin’s corporate website.
