Danfoss begins brazed plate heat exchanger production in Mexico

Danfoss has launched production of its brazed plate heat exchangers at an expanded facility in Monterrey, Mexico, aiming to reduce delivery times and strengthen supply chains for North American customers. The move supports the growing demand for sustainable cooling solutions across the region.

The company plans to install two brazing ovens at the Monterrey plant by the end of 2026, with additional production processes to be added as capacity increases. The local manufacturing effort is part of Danfoss’s regional supply strategy for the Americas.

Danfoss’s gasket-free brazed plate heat exchangers feature corrugated plates with a flexible design that can be tailored to customer applications. They are used in high-pressure and extreme temperature environments, including data centers, and contribute to energy savings by providing efficient heat transfer.

The increased local production capacity is intended to meet rising demand from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), particularly in the data center cooling segment.

“This production expansion represents an exciting milestone,” said Mads Pinnerup, vice president, plate heat exchangers at Danfoss. “Increasing our production capabilities to strengthen our customers’ supply chains is a key goal of our LEAP 2030 strategy. With interest and demand for energy-efficient cooling components growing in North America, we are looking forward to helping our customer achieve their sustainability goals.”
