Danfoss Boosts Investment in New Technologies and Facilities in Brazil

Danfoss, the global industrial group based in Denmark, is deepening its commitment to the Brazilian market through an investment of more than BRL 80 million in new technologies. These investments span various sectors, including food retail, industrial refrigeration, heavy industry, heating and cooling, beverage manufacturing, agriculture, construction, automotive, and water and wastewater.

Top executives, including Kim Fausing, Danfoss President and CEO; Jürgen Fischer, President of Danfoss Climate Solutions; and Astrid Mozes, President of Regions at Danfoss, visited São Paulo to meet with customers, partners, and the Brazilian Danfoss team. They were joined by Julio Molinari, Regional President of Danfoss Latin America.

“It’s a real pleasure to be visiting São Paulo to meet customers, our team, and to see the fruit of our investments. We are investing more than BRL 80 million in our production facilities in Brazil. These investments will enable us to service our customers even better with improved facilities and new, modern machinery and equipment. I’m equally excited to meet our team that made it happen,” said Kim Fausing, President and CEO of Danfoss.

Fausing highlighted Brazil as Danfoss’ largest market in Latin America and a crucial hub for its products across the region. “Brazil is an important market for Danfoss. We have many important customers and strategic partnerships. By strengthening our partnerships, we are better positioned to capitalize on the potential growth and advancements that megatrends are creating in sectors such as energy generation, agriculture, construction, mining, and the food chain. With a skilled and competitive workforce and deep application know-how, we want to drive sustainable innovation to create value for our customers,” he added.

Danfoss began operations in Brazil in 1968 in São Paulo and has since grown to over 800 employees across four production facilities in Caxias do Sul, Guaratingueta, and São Paulo.

In recent years, Danfoss has experienced significant growth, marked by a 30% increase in the past two years, with 15% of that being organic growth. Despite a slower growth environment in 2023, Danfoss reported a 10% increase in earnings (EBITA) and a 49% increase in cash flow. Additionally, scope 1 and 2 emissions (before acquisitions) decreased by 18%, decoupled from organic sales growth of 2%.

Julio Molinari, Regional President, Danfoss Latin America, expressed enthusiasm about the executive visit: “We are thrilled to have hosted our President and CEO, Kim Fausing, and other esteemed members of the Group Executive Team this week in São Paulo. This visit has provided a unique opportunity for them to engage directly with our valued Brazilian customers and have meaningful discussions regarding the exciting opportunities that this market holds for us in the future.”

Danfoss continues to bolster its presence in Brazil, driving innovation and growth while remaining committed to sustainable development.
