Dr Philipp Rollmann new Head of Technology at Walter Roller

Dr. Philipp Rollmann has accepted the newly created position of Head of Technology at heat exchanger manufacturer Walter Roller GmbH in Gerlingen near Stuttgart as of 01 March 2021.

Dr Rollmann studied aerospace engineering at the University of Stuttgart and researched as a doctoral student at the Institute for Thermodynamics and Thermal Engineering. In 2015, he concluded his doctorate with honours from the DKV Young Scientist Award and was responsible for technology and pre-development at Güntner in recent years.

At Roller, Dr Rollmann will work with the engineering department and product management to further develop the units produced by Walter Roller. He will optimise the tube systems of the air coolers, heat exchangers and fan coil units in terms of energetics while maintaining the traditional values. He will also further develop the selection software to enable customers to design units intuitively, quickly and precisely, thus actively shaping the company's growth.

"I am looking forward to this new challenge and am happy to be able to use my theoretical know-how from my doctorate as well as my practical experience at Roller. Together we will continue to design and implement optimal solutions for our customers," says Dr Philipp Rollmann.

"We are very pleased that we have been able to gain such an experienced and motivated expert for the further development of our technologies in Dr Rollmann," says Wolfgang Krenn, Managing Director of Walter Roller GmbH & Co.
