DSI Dantech acquires GEA freezer service business in North America

DSI Dantech has announced the acquisition of GEA's North American freezer service business, expanding its global service footprint and becoming the exclusive worldwide service partner for GEA freezer technologies.

The agreement covers GEA’s freezer service operations in the United States and Canada. The transition will be finalized on December 1, 2025. Until then, GEA will continue operating the service business under its own brand and structure.

As part of the acquisition, DSI Dantech will integrate the GEA North American service team into its organization and assume responsibility for servicing GEA freezers in the region. The onboarding process is scheduled to be completed by the December 1 handover date.

Additionally, beginning July 1, 2025, DSI Dantech will serve as the global service partner for GEA freezer technologies outside North America. GEA has transferred all necessary documentation, software, and tools to support the global installed base. DSI Dantech plans to support all legacy GEA freezer brands and may collaborate with specialized service partners when needed.

“Our goal is to strengthen support for customers around the world — whether they operate GEA or DSI Dantech freezers,” said Søren Overgaard, CEO of DSI Dantech. “With the addition of the GEA service team and design documentation, we are ready to ensure local responsiveness with global competence.”

DSI Dantech also confirmed its continued support for the Aerofreeze brand, including new equipment and aftermarket services. The company now supports freezer operations in all regions through its own service centers or certified partners.
