Xi’an Jiaotong University holds Moon-Tech Scholarship ceremony

The School of Energy and Power Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University said it recently held the “Moon-Tech Scholarship” award ceremony at its Innovation Harbor Campus. The event aimed to recognize students with strong academic performance and character, deepen university–industry cooperation, and support talent development for the energy, power, and compressor engineering fields.

Attendees from the School included Wei Na, Deputy Party Secretary; Professor He Zhilong, Head of the Compressor Engineering Department; faculty member Wang Leilei; counselor Zhang Xiaofang; and representatives of award recipients. Moon-Tech representatives included Chen Wenqing, Chief Technology Officer and President of the Central Research Institute, and Yang Guowei, Director of the Human Resources Department.

In his remarks, Chen Wenqing congratulated the award recipients and thanked the School for its long-term support of university–industry cooperation. He described Moon-Tech’s focus on innovation-driven development in the energy and power sector and referenced the company’s recent efforts and “breakthrough achievements” in low-carbon energy technologies, adding that collaboration can help align talent cultivation with industrial needs and address key industry challenges.

Wei Na welcomed the Moon-Tech delegation and thanked the company for establishing the scholarship and supporting talent cultivation. He Zhilong announced this year’s scholarship recipients, after which guests presented certificates and took group photos. Student representatives said the scholarship provided both financial support and encouragement, and outlined goals including strengthening academic foundations, focusing research on national needs, and working on key industry technologies.

After the ceremony, Moon-Tech and the School held discussions on strengthening research collaboration, expanding talent recruitment channels, and jointly building internship and practical training bases. The release also said Moon-Tech plans to continue university–industry cooperation through more diversified approaches, with the goal of supporting technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the energy and power sector.
