E.Leclerc Pamplona launched advanced temperature monitoring with AKO Group

E.Leclerc opened its doors on 20 July 1992, with a nearly 10,000 m2 centre, committed to sustainability through a variety of initiatives, including its “0 leaflet” policy and supply of locally-sourced products.

Within its commitment to the environment, in 2021, E.Leclerc Pamplona launched an ambitious advanced temperature monitoring and regulation programme to reduce the refrigeration facility’s electricity consumption, thereby reducing its carbon footprint, ensuring proper conservation of the foods it sells and prolonging the facility’s operating life with a preventive maintenance programme.

AKO GROUP, the company specialising in the development, production and supply of secure, sustainable and efficient refrigeration solutions developed one of the most innovative and efficient solutions on the market to meet these needs

Applying AKO’s AKODATA and AKOCORE ADVANCE technology, in 2022, E.Leclerc Pamplona reduced its refrigeration facility’s electricity consumption by 12.6%, leading to savings of 126,000 kWh per year.

This entailed significant cost savings, given the high cost of energy, in addition to improving the facility’s performance, lessening mechanical and thermal stress, reducing its carbon footprint and ensuring continued monitoring of product quality for its customers.

This solution also allows for secure remote monitoring and management from anywhere on any device, 365 days a year, on the AKONET.Cloud platform.

The partnership between two companies is a clear commitment to efficient and sustainable refrigeration that promotes understanding the importance of proper refrigeration facility operation, ensures lower consumption and energy costs and decreases environmental impact by using resources efficiently.
