Edged US has launched a new data center in New Albany, Ohio, delivering 24 MW of critical capacity for large-scale AI training and inference. The facility features waterless cooling and aims to set new sustainability standards for digital infrastructure in the region known as the Silicon Heartland.
The site uses the ThermalWorks advanced cooling system, which eliminates water consumption and enables high-density operations—up to 70 kW per rack with air cooling and 200 kW per rack with liquid cooling. According to the company, this approach is expected to save over 92 million gallons of water annually.
The facility is designed with energy efficiency in mind, achieving an average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.15 across Edged US’s portfolio, which the company says reduces energy overhead by 72% compared to the global average of 1.54 reported by the Uptime Institute.
The launch event was attended by local officials, including New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding, who stated: “What sets Edged US apart is their commitment to sustainability—saving millions of gallons of water each year and dramatically reducing energy use.”
Edged US is expanding its data center footprint across North America, with ongoing projects in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Des Moines, Kansas City, and Phoenix.
