EHPA Members Elect New Board and Reappoint Daikin Executive as President

European Heat Pump Association members have elected a new Board of directors, which then reappointed Patrick Crombez, General Manager Environmental Research Centre – Daikin Europe, as president for a second term. The new Board and president have a two-year mandate.

The vote took place at the EHPA 2026 General Assembly in the Vienna Hofburg, held alongside the International Energy Agency’s Heat Pump Conference.

The new Board includes representatives from Danfoss, Grundfos, Vaillant, Johnson Controls, Panasonic, Carrier-Viessmann, the Dutch Heat Pump Association, EDF, Stiebel Eltron, Bosch, NIBE, Turboden, Heat Pumps Watch, Daikin, Qvantum Industries and TRANE Technologies.

“I’m honoured to continue as president of the Board of the European Heat Pump Association. It’s a highly significant moment for the heat pump sector, which is now recognised as a crucial part of the necessary electrification of our economies at the highest political levels,” said Patrick Crombez, General Manager Environmental Research Centre – Daikin Europe.

“We must maximise this momentum, ensuring it leads to real change on tax levels on electricity, steady support systems, flexible tariffs for consumers, and a wider take-up of large heat pumps in industry. The Board will provide oversight, guidance and support for the secretariat as it works to this end during these important months,” Crombez said.

Paul Kenny, Director General of the European Heat Pump Association, said the Board represents all parts of the heat pump sector and will provide strategic guidance for EHPA’s role as the voice of the industry to the EU.
