Daikin Europe N.V. has inaugurated Daikin Manufacturing Poland Sp. z o.o., a new heat pump production facility in the Łódź region of Poland. The site strengthens Daikin’s European manufacturing network and primarily produces residential heat pump heating systems for the European market.
The facility represents an investment of approximately €300 million [about USD 324 million]. Daikin said the factory will serve as a key production base within its European manufacturing footprint and support demand for sustainable heating solutions across Europe.
Daikin selected Poland for the plant due to its skilled workforce, industrial and academic base, and access to major European markets. The company said the site also supports its “local for local” approach by enabling faster response to customer needs and a stable supply of energy-efficient solutions.
The facility will cooperate with Daikin’s global R&D hub in Ghent, Belgium, established in 2025, to support the transfer of advanced technologies into large-scale production. Daikin Europe said local heat pump production supports Europe’s transition away from fossil-fuel-based heating, CO2 emission reductions, and greater energy efficiency.
“This facility marks an important milestone for our global operations and reflects our long-standing philosophy of producing close to the market. By strengthening our manufacturing presence in Europe, we can respond more quickly to local needs and build long-term partnerships across the region,” said Masanori Togawa, Representative Director, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Daikin Industries.
