Enex Technologies earns EcoVadis Bronze Medal for sustainability progress

Enex Technologies, an international provider of natural and energy-efficient HVACR solutions, has received the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for sustainability, placing it in the top 25% of assessed companies in its industry sector. The 2025 evaluation reflects improved performance in environmental and social responsibility, supported by the group’s strategic commitments.

The assessment covered four key areas, where Enex Technologies received the following scores: Environment – 78 (+32 vs. industry average), Labour & Human Rights – 69 (+19), Ethics – 50 (+7), and Sustainable Procurement – 43 (+6). The company’s overall score of 69/100 places it in the 77th percentile of all rated companies, showing significant progress from the previous year.

The company attributes this improvement to the adoption of the Enex Technologies Sustainability Policy, which defines its long-term environmental and social goals. As part of its initiatives, the group achieved ISO 14064-1 certification and completed its first greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory to quantify its carbon footprint.

Enex Technologies has also updated its methodology for calculating its Impact Counter of Natural Refrigerants’ Adoption. This now includes avoided CO₂ emissions from products using ammonia (NH₃) and propane (R290), highlighting the climate benefits of its PFAS-free, low-GWP refrigerant solutions. Since 2007, the company estimates its technologies have enabled over 1.15 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions savings for its customers.

Further aligning with international sustainability frameworks, Enex Technologies joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and published its first Communication on Progress (CoP), affirming adherence to globally recognized principles on human rights, labor, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.

François Audo, CEO of Enex Technologies, said: “The EcoVadis Bronze Medal is a further confirmation of the strength of our sustainability strategy and of our leadership as a climate tech company. This recognition encourages us to continue developing natural refrigerant solutions that help multiple sectors reduce their carbon footprint and navigate the energy transition.”
