EPA Honors 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award Winners

For over 30 years, ENERGY STAR has been America’s resource for saving energy and protecting the environment. Since its inception, ENERGY STAR and its partners have helped prevent over 4 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions, while saving consumers and businesses over $500 billion.

Leading the way in delivering these results are award-winning partners that EPA honors each year that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements in partnership with ENERGY STAR. Whether a first time winner or a winner for many years, these ENERGY STAR award-winning partners from across the country demonstrate that delivering real climate solutions makes good business sense and strengthens our economy. 

Among this year’s 211 winners are more than 160 organizations that ENERGY STAR is recognizing for their year-over-year commitment to energy efficiency through the program’s highest honor: ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence winner. Their sustained commitments are essential to meeting the challenge of climate change and enabling a transition to a clean energy economy. EPA congratulates these Sustained Excellence winners, as well as Partner of the Year and Excellence award winners for their contributions towards cleaner and healthier products, homes, buildings, schools, and factories.

“Public-private partnerships such as ENERGY STAR are essential to enabling us to meet the historic opportunity that the President’s Inflation Reduction Act provides,” said EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan. “I congratulate this year’s ENERGY STAR award winners for their innovation and leadership in delivering cost-effective, energy-efficient solutions that create jobs, protect the climate, and contribute to a healthier environment for everyone.”

Copeland Named as ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for Fifth Consecutive Year for its Sensi Smart Thermostats

Copeland, a global provider of sustainable climate solutions, announced that it has won the 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award for the fifth consecutive year.

The ENERGY STAR program honors businesses and organizations, like Copeland, that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements. ENERGY STAR’s Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award is the highest honor among the categories.

“At Copeland, we are leading the way in delivering sustainable climate solutions that enable our customers to drive positive change,” said Craig Rossman, president, Electronics and Controls for Copeland. “Now more than ever, consumers are seeking products that reduce their environmental impact while at the same time deliver cost savings to their personal budgets. Our Sensi smart thermostats do both – providing sustainably focused home comfort and valuable savings.” 

Copeland’s ENERGY STAR certified Sensi smart thermostats can save users about 23% of HVAC energy consumption by adjusting the temperature using flexible scheduling, remote access and geofencing. Sensi thermostats empower consumers to control their home temperature from anywhere in the world through the top-rated app. In addition, Sensi delivers monthly usage reports that provide month-over-month comparisons of heating and cooling run times and average humidity levels unique to each home. These reports give users a clear picture of HVAC usage and energy efficiency tips to help them save even more.

Hoshizaki America, Inc. Earns 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award

Hoshizaki America, Inc. is pleased to announce its receipt of the 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. This notable achievement represents thirteen consecutive years of recognition by ENERGY STAR.

“We are immensely proud to be acknowledged once again by ENERGY STAR for our dedication to environmental stewardship,” stated Allan Dziwoki, President of Hoshizaki America. “As we celebrate this milestone, we remain steadfast in our mission to innovate and lead towards a more sustainable future.”

Panasonic Eco Systems North America

Panasonic Eco Systems North America, a provider of sustainable technology solutions, including ventilation and indoor air quality solutions, put ENERGY STAR certification front and center in its education on healthy homes and indoor air quality, while leading the industry with 99% of its 2023 sales consisting of ENERGY STAR certified models. Sustained Excellence winner for 12 years.


RHEEM Named Energy Star Partner of the Year

Rheem, a leading global manufacturer of HVAC and water heating products, earned the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award. This marks the fourth consecutive year EPA recognized Rheem as a Partner of the Year.

“Winning this prestigious award for four consecutive years is not only a testament to our ongoing efforts but also a reaffirmation of our position as leaders in promoting environmental stewardship and energy conservation. It reflects the hard work, dedication and innovation of every member of our team,” said Kevin Ruppelt, senior vice president and general manager, Rheem’s US air conditioning division.

“Rheem is committed to providing the highest-performing sustainable products available in the marketplace. Receiving the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award again this year further encourages our team to continue setting the pace by focusing on well-designed, environmentally friendly solutions.  We appreciate ENERGY STAR’s recognition and congratulate our team,” said Greg Miller, senior vice president and general manager, Rheem’s US water heating division.

EPA named Rheem as a Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence based on several factors, including Rheem’s extensive line of high-efficiency, ENERGY STAR-certified heating, cooling and water heating products and the company’s continued efforts and commitment to protecting the environment through sustainable operations, training and marketing efforts. Rheem’s A Greater Degree of Good initiative ensures that sustainability is embedded in every facet of the organization.

EPA noted in 2023, Rheem demonstrated true leadership through product innovation, an unwavering commitment to building awareness and contractor know-how in the heat pump water space, as well as held an active leadership role on the ENERGY STAR Manufacturers Action Council. Rheem exemplified true industry leadership through training more than 450,000 plumbers, contractors and key influencers around the world on sustainable products and practices to date. Rheem also maintained responsible operations by reducing emissions and diverting more than 80 million tons of waste from landfill annually at the company’s manufacturing plants. All are driving factors contributing to Rheem’s ongoing success.


True Manufacturing have been selected for 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year program awards

True Manufacturing (True Food Service Equipment) in O’Fallon, Missouri, a U.S. manufacturer and global supplier of commercial, residential, and lab-grade refrigeration equipment and ice-making refrigeration systems, led the industry in advancing energy efficiency through ENERGY STAR in combination with the adoption of low-global warming potential refrigerants. True Manufacturing has been an ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award winner for one year.
