Eurammon e.V. and Refrigerants, Naturally! e.V. Announce Strategic Collaboration

Eurammon e.V. and Refrigerants, Naturally! e.V. have announced a collaboration as of September 2024, marking a significant step towards promoting natural refrigerants for more sustainable practices in refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat pump technologies (RACHP). This partnership aims to enhance their advocacy for climate-friendly refrigerants, helping to fight climate change and protect the ozone layer.

The integration of Refrigerants, Naturally! members into eurammon e.V. will create a robust platform for engagement with various stakeholders, including businesses, policymakers, NGOs, educational institutions, and end-users. This united front will better advocate for sustainable refrigeration engineering and accelerate the adoption of natural refrigerants across numerous industries by pooling resources and expanding their global network.

Rob Vandenboer, Chairman of eurammon e.V., emphasized the importance of this union in intensifying efforts against climate change by promoting future-proof solutions in the RACHP sector. The merger presents a new visual identity with a blended logo from both groups and a new contact point managed by HEAT GmbH to facilitate collaboration among private sector members and technical experts.

Menno van der Hoff, board member of both organizations, expressed enthusiasm for the merger, highlighting how the combined strength of both associations could lead to a significant shift from chemical to natural refrigerants, particularly in the commercial HVAC industry and regions outside Europe where F-gases are still commonly used.

The merger was officially unveiled at Chillventa 2024, during the "eurammon Brunch for Friends of Natural Refrigerants" event, where members and interested parties gathered to discuss the organization's mission and future activities, marking the beginning of this impactful collaboration.
