Eurovent, AMCA and EVIA update EU fan FAQ guide

Eurovent, AMCA Europe and EVIA have published the second edition of their joint Frequently Asked Questions guide on Regulation (EU) 2024/1834, as amended, which sets ecodesign requirements for fans.

The new edition follows the first version published in September 2025. Experts from the three associations continued their cooperation to develop a common industry interpretation of further provisions of Regulation (EU) 2024/1834, which was amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2481.

The second edition addresses several general issues and adds FAQs covering product information requirements, information requirements at partial load, resource efficiency requirements concerning spare parts, and product information requirements for spare part fans.

The guide was prepared by participants of the Eurovent Product Group “Fan Technology” (PG-FANS), members of AMCA Europe and members of the EVIA Fans Working Group. According to the associations, these groups represent a vast majority of manufacturers of these products active on the EMEA market.
