Eurovent Certification and the Korea HVAC Testing Institute (K-HVAC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote collaboration in HVACR product certification and standard harmonisation. The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between Europe and East Asia in testing and certification frameworks.
The partnership focuses on knowledge sharing, joint promotion of standards and certification programmes, and the alignment of European, Korean, and international standards. Both parties plan to undertake joint initiatives such as technical seminars, training sessions, and industry events to support education and collaboration across the sector.
According to Eurovent Certification, the agreement supports its commitment to expanding global reach and fostering innovation and sustainability in HVACR. “Together, we are not only advancing quality and reliability but also driving innovation and sustainability across international markets,” said Sylvain Courtey, President of Eurovent Certification.
K-HVAC noted its long-standing cooperation with Eurovent Certification and highlighted plans to work together on global certification policies and standards for eco-friendly technologies. “Through this MOU... K-HVAC expects to collaborate on global policies, certification, and standards for various high-efficiency, eco-friendly new technologies in the HVACR sector,” the institute stated.
The MOU establishes a three-year framework for closer collaboration between the two organisations.
