Eurovent Certification has reinforced its commitment to sustainable HVACR solutions through its partnership with the Italian Association of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Heating and Ventilation (AiCARR). As an Industry Member, Eurovent Certification supports AiCARR’s initiatives by offering technical expertise and sponsoring major sector events.
Founded in 1960, AiCARR plays a critical role in promoting the responsible use of energy and natural resources in residential and industrial buildings. The Association has over 2,200 members, including designers, manufacturers, installers, academics, and policymakers. AiCARR focuses on sustainable comfort, professional training, legislative development, and cooperation with national and European institutions.
Eurovent Certification contributes to AiCARR’s Advisory Committee of Industry Members and funds 50 complimentary memberships for new industry professionals. Its technical input, based on a substantial database of performance data and research project participation, enhances AiCARR’s work on topics like Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and refrigeration technologies.
In 2024, Eurovent Certification acted as a Platinum Sponsor at AiCARR’s 53rd International Conference, themed “From NZEB to ZEB: the buildings of the next decades for a healthy and sustainable future.” The company conducted a workshop titled “High quality HVAC-R systems, from R&D to delivery and what is in between,” emphasizing the importance of specifying certified products for optimal system performance.
Additionally, Eurovent Certification supported the 39th AiCARR National Conference in 2023, which focused on the energy retrofitting of building stock in response to the draft revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the "Fit for 55" package aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions by 2030.
"Partnerships with organisations such as AiCARR bring real benefits to the industry at large. With a focus on energy efficiency, innovation and education, both Eurovent Certification and AiCARR align on key industry issues," stated Eurovent Certification.
