Trane Technologies Acquires Marshall Fleet Solutions to Strengthen UK Transport Refrigeration Operations

Trane Technologies, through its Thermo King brand, has acquired Marshall Thermo King Ltd., trading as Marshall Fleet Solutions. The acquisition, effective March 31, 2025, brings one of the UK’s longest-standing Thermo King and Frigoblock dealers under company ownership.

Marshall Fleet Solutions, part of the privately-owned Marshall Group, has represented Thermo King in the UK for over 50 years. The company provides a wide range of refrigeration services, including installation, maintenance, and repair, alongside tail lift support and fleet management.

Under the new ownership, Marshall Fleet Solutions will operate as a company-owned dealer within Thermo King’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) business. All employees and current UK operations and depots are included in the transition.

“We are pleased to officially welcome the Marshall Fleet Solutions team,” said Claudio Zanframundo, president of Thermo King EMEA. “We look forward to working closely with the team as we position the business to deliver industry-leading service and innovation to customers and partners – and transform transport refrigeration in the UK.”

Marshall Group Chair Roger Hardy stated, “We are delighted to have completed the sale of Marshall Fleet Solutions to Trane Technologies. This long-term investment by Trane Technologies and its Thermo King business will unlock significant benefits for customers, partners and employees, supporting the critical role played by the business in equipping and maintaining the assets that keep the UK’s cold chain moving.”

With this move, Thermo King aims to enhance its service delivery and innovation capabilities in the UK transport refrigeration market through direct operations.
