Eurovent Certification supports French HVAC trade body UMGCCP

Eurovent Certification continues to support the Union des Métiers du Génie Climatique, de la Couverture et de la Plomberie (UMGCCP), a major French trade association representing HVAC, roofing, and plumbing professionals. The partnership focuses on advancing technical knowledge, sustainability, and professional standards within the building sector.

UMGCCP brings together 15,000 companies across France, the majority of which are small enterprises with fewer than 10 employees. It was formed in January 2019 from the merger of the UECF and UNCP and operates under the French Building Federation (FFB). Its work includes legislative advocacy, technical training, and promoting energy efficiency in construction.

Eurovent Certification has partnered with UMGCCP for several years at key industry events, including the annual UMGCCP Congress. Sophie Bocquillon, France Partnerships Manager at Eurovent Certification, has spoken at the 2023, 2024, and 2025 editions, addressing topics such as heat pump acoustics, indoor air quality (IAQ), and geothermal technology.

At Interclima 2024, UMGCCP and Eurovent Certification co-hosted two presentations: “Ventilation Solutions and Assessment Methods to Improve IAQ in Indoor Spaces” and “Case Studies: Certified Technologies—How to Choose the Right Heat Pump.”

The collaboration supports shared goals in training, certification, and sustainable building practices.
