The 13th edition of HVACR Vietnam 2019, the most established international exhibition on Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Air Filtration & Purification, and Refrigeration Systems (HVACR) in Vietnam, was held in he end of March.
The only focused HVACR trade show in the country, it is the quintessential platform for international manufacturers and suppliers to launch new products, connect with potential buyers, as well as appoint agents and distributors.
The exhibition, organised by Informa Exhibitions and Vietnam Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD), is back at Ho Chi Minh City from March 25-27 at the Phu Tho Stadium.
More than 1,600 visitors have pre-registered for the show, with 180 pre-qualified buyers attending, and over 600 pre-scheduled meetings lined up.
This year’s list of exhibitors features a strong turn-out of more than 250 participating companies and brands from countries such as China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, the USA and Vietnam.
Some of the prominent and established exhibitors included AAF Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (the Asia regional office of the world’s largest manufacturer of air filtration solutions); Ayvaz (a highly regarded Turkish manufacturer of expansion joints, valves, steam equipment, level controller and flexible metal hose); Formtek (a metal forming equipment manufacturing company from the USA); Ginice Co., Ltd (a South Korean manufacturer of the HVAC, AHU, BAS, FA, valve automation, and boiler/steam systems); Johnson Controls – Hitachi Air Conditioning Vietnam (a new sales company for Johnson Controls – Hitachi air conditioners); Kyung Dong Industrial Co., Ltd, (a South Korean manufacturer and supplier of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment); and Superlon (a Malaysian manufacturer of NBR foam).

Multiple measures have been put in place to allow exhibitors and buyers the best possible environment to do business and at the same time, stay updated with the latest trends in the industry. One of these measures is the complimentary B2B Online Meeting System for exhibitors and buyers.
Exhibitors and buyers are encouraged to use the system for the best opportunities to find the most suitable business partners and clients. Just by sending in their business interests, companies will receive a curated list of matching participants. With this list, they can make online appointments for one-to-one business meetings during the show, and a human concierge will be available on-site for facilitation.
The organisers have also specially arranged two days for exhibitors to meet the pre-qualified buyers onsite at the B2B meetings to do a quick introduction of their company and products, with the option of further follow-up discussions at their booth.
Numerous networking and social events have also been planned to provide opportunities for all parties to build strong business friendships and enhance top-of-mind brand awareness.
All exhibitors, buyers, and visitors are also invited to join in a series of specially planned seminars aimed to inform, update, and benefit them.
Industry experts from the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) and leading companies and organisations will share their expertise on the themes Green Buildings & SMART Technologies, and Industry Insights & Innovation.

This year’s HVACR Vietnam show is backed by buoyant industry sentiments, as the HVACR industry in the country continues to be fueled by rising demands.
Mr Ian Roberts, the Executive Regional Director (ASEAN) for Informa, shared: “This is the 13th edition of HVACR Vietnam, and the show has grown from strength to strength these years to become the most established international HVACR exhibition in Vietnam. The immense support from our exhibitors and buyers means the show is now held annually, with Ho Chi Minh City hosting it on odd years and Hanoi hosting it on even years.
“Within Vietnam, there continues to be government-funded infrastructure development projects, expansions in the tourism industry, increases in construction activities in hospitality, and increases in investments in industrial and commercial sectors. The Vietnamese air-conditioner market is predicted to increase 14.64% on average annually until 2021, according to a report from TechSci Research. Additionally, international manufacturers are expanding their operations here. Water heater manufacturer Ariston Thermo Vietnam announced their intentions to continue their long-term investment in the country, introduce energy-saving devices, and enhance investment into research to develop new products.
“And with UBM joined with Informa since June 2018, our combined portfolio means we are now a leading B2B information services group, and the largest B2B events and exhibitions organiser in the world. We will now have more to offer in the HVACR series, including upcoming shows in Indonesia from 11-14 September 2019, Hanoi in 2020, Malaysia, and other ASEAN countries. Page 5 of 6
