FREOR marks its 20th anniversary

This October FREOR celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Two decades is a significant mark of longevity in a fast-moving and evolving refrigeration sector. Founded in 2000 in Vilnius, Lithuania, as a company that renovated used commercial refrigeration equipment, FREOR has grown to become a well-known international supplier of refrigerated display showcases that operates following the best European practice.

The first refrigerated showcase under the FREOR name was produced in 2005. Since then, the company has developed a wide range of commercial refrigeration equipment, recognized for its functional design, reliability, energy-efficiency, and respect for the environment.

Today FREOR products equip various types of retail stores, from small shops, gas stations, to supermarkets and hypermarkets. Their products are introduced in more than 30 countries.

The technology used by FREOR is on par with world-class technology leaders. FREOR was among the first companies in the world to introduce autonomous refrigeration equipment which utilizes the green refrigerant propane R290. Today the company firmly stands for green cooling technologies and invites retailers to ‘rethink refrigeration’ by offering our Green Wave line products operating with natural refrigerants CO2 or R290, and eco-friendly Hydroloop System.

FREOR operates two manufacturing plants in Lithuania and Belarus, with a total production area of 24 000 m2, and is relocating to a newly-built 16 300 m2 state-of-the-art production facility in Vilnius, Lithuania, the biggest company‘s investment so far. The new production plant marks a new stage of the company‘s development. It will allow a substantial increase in production capacity and will enable us to better meet growing international demands and specific customer needs.
