Frigoglass Group Drives Forward with Beta Glass Division Transformation
Frigoglass Group is intensifying its transformational efforts, particularly within its glass division, Beta Glass, to steer towards long-term growth and success. With a heritage spanning 50 years, Beta Glass stands as a leader in the production of glass containers, crowns, and crates across West and Central Africa, serving key sectors like beverages and pharmaceuticals.

The division boasts three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Nigeria that produce 720 tonnes per day and over 650 million bottles each year. Recent investments include upgrading the GF1 furnace at the Guinea Plant, increasing production capacity by 30 tonnes daily and extending the furnace's lifecycle. Moreover, Beta Glass has moved its headquarters to new, modern offices in Victoria Island, Lagos, to enhance client interactions and provide a superior work environment.

In line with these changes, Frigoglass has restructured the organizational design of its glass division. Dr. Vitus Chidiebere Ezinwa was appointed as the new Chairman, with the addition of five directors bringing significant experience. Key leadership appointments include Alex Gendis as CEO, Hélène Paradisi as CFO, and Jagdish Agarwal as COO, all seasoned professionals with extensive industry expertise.

Gagik Apkarian, Chairman of Frigoglass Group, applauded Beta Glass's strides, stating, “The team's efforts in innovation, quality, and sustainability are crucial. Enhancing Beta Glass’s performance is integral to our overall transformation. The strengthened leadership is dedicated to fostering shareholder value and navigating new growth opportunities in West and Central Africa.”

These strategic shifts underscore Frigoglass Group's commitment to driving growth and maintaining its status as a corporate leader in the region.
