The TEFCOLD Group has announced its acquisition of Eureka, a German distributor of professional cooling equipment. Eureka, based in Emsdetten, Germany, will now operate under the name TEFCOLD DE GmbH.
This acquisition aims to bolster TEFCOLD’s foothold in the German market. TEFCOLD CEO Jesper Kirkeby Hansen highlighted that the inclusion of Eureka and its experienced team is a strategic step to enhance the group's brand presence in Germany. Eureka, known for its strong market reputation, serves major brand owners like beer and ice cream manufacturers across Germany, and has a comprehensive service setup nationwide.
Eric Thiery, part owner of Eureka, expressed confidence in TEFCOLD as the ideal new owner, emphasizing a long-standing relationship between the two companies. Simon Christensen has been appointed Managing Director of TEFCOLD DE GmbH, while the existing management and staff will remain in place.
TEFCOLD Group, headquartered in Viborg, Denmark, employs 170 people across 10 countries and serves over 6,000 customers globally. With eight European warehouses, the company handles deliveries of over 170,000 coolers and freezers to approximately 100 countries each year.
TEFCOLD Group Chairman and majority owner Torben L. Christensen underscored the importance of acquisitions in their growth strategy and noted that Eureka’s addition is a critical step toward continued success.
