Fujitsu General announced it will change its trade name to "GENERAL Inc." effective January 1, 2026, and adopt a new brand symbol under the same name. The rebranding aligns with the company’s 90th anniversary and marks a new phase in its global growth strategy.
The name "General" has been used as a trademark by the company since 1946 and is currently registered in more than 120 countries and regions. The new trade name reflects the company’s long-standing focus on manufacturing excellence and its commitment to combining advanced technologies with original ideas.
Beginning January 2026, the new "GENERAL" brand symbol will be rolled out gradually, starting with new products. The company also plans to change the names of its consolidated subsidiaries currently using "FUJITSU" to include "General" in their trade names.
Fujitsu General emphasized its ongoing collaboration with the Paloma Rheem HD Group, aiming to expand in both domestic and international markets and strengthen its presence in the global air conditioning sector. The company also intends to promote integration between air conditioning and water heating technologies.
“Our company has started a new chapter as a member of the Paloma Rheem Group this August,” said Koji Masuda, President & CEO. “Under our new slogan, ‘Creating a Life Conditioner,’ we remain committed to the belief that the foundation of manufacturing lies in a sincere focus on people and an unwavering pursuit of technological innovation.”
