Güntner wins the German Innovation Award

The German Design Council honours “products and solutions across all industries” each year, “which are foremost distinguished for their focus on users and an added value compared to the solutions to date.” This year’s prize winners were announced on May 26 – the Güntner Air cooler DUAL Compact (GADC) won in the “Business to Business – Energy Solutions” category.

The idea behind this competition is to make innovation visible; hundreds of businesses from serval dozens of countries participate every year.

Customer needs in the focus of development

As early as in the development of the GADC already, the use from the application with an added value was in the focus: The idea came from a suggestion by a customer. The unit was developed with agile methods in continuous coordination with this customer and adjusted ideally to the specific requirements.

Inconspicuous elegance with added value

The essential novelty in this case remains invisible: With the option of the integrated condensation pump, the practical, very lean unit offers the possibility to let the condensation pipe disappear from the air-conditioned room into the intermediate ceiling. This is a significant simplification for the customer in terms of the expense of time, e.g. for cleaning.

Certified uniqueness

Moreover, the Güntner DUAL Compact is the only dual discharge air cooler that is certified according to the HACCP hygiene concept – a further benefit for the customer, especially in sensitive food areas where strict hygiene requirements apply. The fact that the unit can also ensure comfortable temperatures in working areas with hardly any draught is merely one further plus of many.
