Green Point UK, the service and remanufacturing division of BITZER UK, has supplied two BITZER reciprocating compressors to Beijer Ref’s training academy in the United Kingdom to support practical refrigeration training.
The donation includes one compressor compatible with HFO refrigerants and another designed for use with CO₂. These units will be used in hands-on training sessions to demonstrate compressor operation and maintenance within refrigeration systems. The compressors were handed over during a visit to the Beijer Ref Academy in Wetherby by Will Pribyl, General Manager at Green Point UK.
Beijer Ref, a long-time distributor of BITZER products across the UK and Europe, opened its first UK academy in late 2021. The latest donation follows a training day held at Green Point UK in Milton Keynes in 2023, where Beijer Ref engineers were introduced to compressor technologies and remanufacturing processes.
Ian Lemmon, Training Manager at Beijer Ref UK, said: “Having access to real-world equipment is essential for delivering meaningful, hands-on training at our academy. These BITZER compressors will help us demonstrate the fundamentals of compressor operation and maintenance to engineers at all levels.”
Will Pribyl added: “By supplying BITZER compressor technology to the Beijer Ref Academy, we’re helping to invest in people and giving the next generation of engineers, and today’s professionals, the opportunity to train with equipment that’s among the best on the market.”
The compressors will be used to support training in service, maintenance and system optimisation. Green Point UK has also announced that its own BITZER compressor training programme is now open for bookings.
