The EU F-Gas Regulation entered into force in Italy at the beginning of 2019. The upcoming bans on HFCs usage are already forcing Italian stores to think ahead on the outcomes of the decisions they make today. This is one of the reasons why newly opened I ROSSI supermarket in Cigole, Italy has chosen a water-loop cooling system with propane-based refrigeration equipment – environmentally-friendly Hydroloop solution by FREOR.
Fully green refrigeration installation
The I ROSSI supermarket occupies around 400 sqm of the trade area, which is an optimal size to install FREOR’s Hydroloop refrigeration system. The solution supports the sustainable business development idea because it is a cost-effective, energy-efficient, attentive to environment solution, using natural, non-toxic liquid, glycol, for system operation. Hydroloop system connects plug-in refrigeration equipment, cabinets and display showcases, where each unit operates on R290 of up to specified charge limit of 150 g complying with the regulations and ensuring a safe environment for the customers and nature.
Refrigeration equipment from FREOR’s Green Wave product line operates at the store:
Chiller cabinets JUPITER with glass doors and JUPITER RETRO with additional cupboards for food storage.
Small-size self-service islands IDA for promotional goods.
Cold display counters VEGA QB, connecting low glass for self-service and high glass for serve-over models.
Hot display showcase VEGA QB HDV for pre-cooked dishes, incorporated into the counter line.
The store’s refrigeration section was equipped by FREOR’s reliable partner in Italy – PlusMinus.
