INWIC Launches Mentorship Programme to Support Women in Cooling
The International Network of Women in Cooling (INWIC) has launched its Mentorship Programme, a free online initiative aimed at connecting women professionals in the refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) sector. Announced on International Women’s Day, the programme seeks to foster knowledge exchange and career development across the industry.

Women and professionals in the cooling sector worldwide are invited to participate as mentors or mentees in the programme’s first cohort. INWIC, an international organisation dedicated to promoting women’s roles in the RACHP industry, developed the initiative to support professional growth, share best practices, and inspire future generations.

With limited mentorship opportunities in the cooling industry, the programme is designed to provide an accessible and inclusive platform. It is open to professionals at all levels, including technicians, engineers, managers, and industry leaders. Specialised mentorship is also available for technicians, offering guidance on technical skills, career progression, and industry best practices.

The programme runs on a three-month cycle, with the option to renew. Mentees gain insights from experienced industry professionals, while mentors contribute to advancing gender diversity in the field. The mentorship covers technical expertise, leadership skills, workplace challenges, and career development.

Participants must be INWIC members to join. Mentees and mentors are matched through an automated process, with mentorship agreements tailored to individual needs. The programme aims to create long-term change by building a more inclusive, skilled, and empowered workforce in the cooling sector.
