IPCOM Group has acquired Area Cooling Solutions, a distributor of HVAC-R components based in Spain and Poland. Founded in Barcelona in 1986, the company expanded into Poland in 1995 and now operates from two depots, providing services to OEM customers across Europe.

Area Cooling Solutions, with a team of over 45 employees, generates sales exceeding €20 million annually. The company maintains strong sourcing relationships with top manufacturers of compressors, fans, motors, inverter drivers, and related accessories, ensuring high-quality product deliveries to its OEM clients. Josep Ventura will continue to lead the company as Managing Director following the acquisition.

Josep Ventura expressed enthusiasm about joining IPCOM Group, noting that the collaboration aligns with IPCOM’s emphasis on specialized energy efficiency solutions. "Together, we can create an even stronger specialized commercial refrigeration company that will create great opportunities for our customers and employees," Ventura stated.

Remco Boerefijn, CEO of IPCOM Group, highlighted the acquisition as a strategic move to expand IPCOM's presence in the Refrigeration and HVAC sector. He noted Area Cooling Solutions' strong digital capabilities and their alignment with IPCOM's goals to provide a broad range of energy-efficient offerings to installers, asset owners, and OEM customers. "We are delighted that Area Cooling Solutions is joining our group," Boerefijn said.
