Laird Thermal Systems Acquires Tark, Inc.

Laird Thermal Systems has acquired Tark, Inc., a US-based supplier specializing in pumps and cooling solutions for the medical and industrial CT and X-Ray tube industry. The contracts were signed in March 2024 by representatives of Laird Thermal Systems and Tark's previous owner, marking a significant step in enhancing Laird's position as a leader in thermal management solutions.

Established in 1985, Tark, Inc. designs, manufactures, and refurbishes pumps and complete cooling solutions tailored to specific customer needs. Tark’s technologies and focus on continuous improvement have given it a competitive edge through its high-quality, high-reliability, low-noise, and optimized form factor products. The Dayton, OH facility is equipped to meet customer demands, including design, engineering, and manufacturing of components and cooling systems.

This acquisition aligns with Laird Thermal Systems' strategy to serve mission-critical applications with top-tier thermal management solutions. The integration of Tark's thermal management components will extend Laird's portfolio and capabilities, bolstering its global engineering and manufacturing footprint. This strategic move positions both companies to expand their solution offerings, enhance their global market presence, and create additional benefits for customers.

Tark, Inc. expressed its pride and excitement in joining Laird Thermal Systems, anticipating that this partnership will support continuity and success. The acquisition is seen as an opportunity to maintain strong customer focus, improve capabilities, and reinforce company values, with Laird providing the platform to elevate Tark's business.

Tark's proven capabilities in system design, manufacturing, integration, and ongoing development of pumps and cooling systems complement Laird’s vision for its thermal management portfolio. Together, the companies aim to strengthen their leadership position, diversify offerings, and explore new markets.

Laird Thermal Systems looks forward to leveraging Tark’s advanced technologies to further its mission in providing superior thermal management solutions to a global market.
