Laird Thermal Systems has introduced the OptoTEC MBX Series, a line of micro thermoelectric coolers designed for high-performance optoelectronic applications with space constraints. Utilizing next-gen materials and advanced automation, the MBX Series features compact designs suitable for TO-Can, TOSA, and Butterfly packages.
With high heat pumping densities up to 43 W/cm² and temperature differentials reaching 82°C at 50ºC, these coolers provide efficient thermal management for devices like laser diodes and optical transceivers. The series ensures stable temperatures to enhance device performance and lifespan, crucial for applications in AI and machine learning.
Andrew Dereka, Thermoelectrics Product Director, emphasized the series' role in maintaining optical device performance. The MBX Series is rigorously tested to meet Telcordia GR-468 CORE standards, ensuring reliability in demanding environments. With customizable form factors and finishing options, the MBX Series caters to diverse optoelectronic needs.
