Panasonic Corporation's Cold Chain Solutions has completed the acquisition of all shares in Area Cooling Solutions Sp. z o.o., a notable Polish refrigeration equipment manufacturer. This follows an agreement with the parent company, Cooling Solutions S.L.
Post-acquisition, Area Cooling will be rebranded as Panasonic Cold Chain Poland Sp. z o.o., continuing its core refrigeration operations and spare part supply. The distribution aspect was spun off into a separate entity, Cooling Solutions Sp. z o.o., before the acquisition.
This move strengthens Panasonic's position in Europe's refrigeration sector, supporting the expansion of its global cold chain business. Panasonic Cold Chain Poland will prioritize developing eco-friendly refrigeration systems, such as inverter-controlled and CO2 condensing units, meeting Europe's environmental and economic needs.
