LG cites 9th straight AHRI Performance Award for HVACR

LG Electronics said it has again received the AHRI Performance Award from the Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), marking the ninth consecutive year the company has earned the recognition for its VRF systems and chillers. The certification is intended to confirm that products deliver the performance stated in their technical specifications based on independent testing.

According to LG, the award is granted to manufacturers whose products meet the declared performance in independent tests. The company said certification requires equipment to meet or exceed promised performance levels in the first evaluation over three consecutive years.

LG said it was recognized in six product categories: VRF systems, air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, residential water heaters, air handling units, and heating and cooling coils.

Among the products cited, LG highlighted its Multi V 5 VRF system, which the company said was recognized for operational efficiency and reliability, and includes optimization features based on artificial intelligence and an intuitive control platform for managing larger projects. LG also said its air- and water-cooled chillers continued to receive recognition, supported by the company’s proprietary compressor technology aimed at high energy-efficiency levels.

LG added that, for the first time, its residential heat pump water heaters were included in AHRI’s evaluation. The company pointed to its Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater, which it said uses a DUAL Inverter compressor, is ENERGY STAR certified, is designed for low-noise operation, and offers a Turbo mode via the LG ThinQ app to help ensure hot-water supply during high demand.

“This AHRI recognition across multiple categories reinforces the consistent performance of LG’s air conditioning portfolio,” said James Lee, president of LG Eco Solution Company. “It reflects our commitment to quality, rigorous product validation, and developing efficient and reliable HVAC solutions for different environments and needs.”
