LiquidStack Opens Second Facility in Texas to Expand Liquid Cooling Production

LiquidStack has opened a second manufacturing site in Carrollton, Texas, to meet rising demand for its liquid cooling technologies in data centers. Located two blocks from its headquarters and original facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the new 1,580 m² (17,000 ft²) building will expand production capacity and support R&D and service training activities.

The expansion follows increased customer interest, particularly for the company’s CDU-1MW, a direct-to-chip liquid cooling solution launched in August 2024. According to the company, the fourth quarter of 2024 was its strongest financial quarter to date. The CDU-1MW has also been listed as a recommended solution by NVIDIA.

“LiquidStack is experiencing unprecedented demand for its high-performance liquid cooling solutions – a trend we are seeing since the scale up of AI workloads being deployed in data centers began in Q4 of last year,” said Joe Capes, CEO of LiquidStack. “Having a U.S.-based manufacturing facility has been a tremendous advantage for our customers, and our second Texas facility will further enable us to support the immense AI infrastructure investments happening globally.”

The additional capacity supports LiquidStack’s Quick-Ship program, which aims to reduce delivery times for customers amid industry-wide supply chain delays. The Carrollton sites will also host factory tours and live demonstrations for visitors.

LiquidStack is hiring for roles across departments to staff the new facility, which is expected to be fully operational by May 2025.

“We’ve seen tremendous support and enthusiasm from the Dallas-Fort Worth community since we established our headquarters and inaugural USA manufacturing facility in Carrollton last year,” said Ed King, Senior Vice President, Operations. “We’re committed to investing further in the Metroplex, and with our expanded footprint, we’re excited to bring new jobs to north Texas and deepen our connection to this vibrant business community.”

Both Carrollton sites will manufacture the full range of LiquidStack’s products, including the CDU-1MW, single-phase and two-phase immersion cooling systems, and modular data center solutions.
