LU-VE Group has received the EcoVadis Bronze Medal

LU-VE Group has received the EcoVadis Bronze Medal in the annual sustainability assessment.

In 2021, LU-VE Group was in the top 20% of the most virtuous companies in terms of sustainable procurement, and in the top 30% of the best companies for the manufacture of general-purpose machines.

EcoVadis is a company which specializes in corporate sustainability assessment, intelligence and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains. Each year, it evaluates more than 75,000 companies from over 200 sectors in relation to the quality of the sustainability management system in four thematic areas (environment, labor practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement), on the basis of 21 criteria (energy consumption and emission of greenhouse gases, product end-of-life, employee health and safety, diversity, supplier environmental practices, etc.).

“From 1986 to today, LU-VE Group has introduced to the market a series of innovative and successful ideas deriving from our cutting-edge research and development policy and respect for the fundamental principles of environmental protection: energy efficiency, reduced use of liquid refrigerant, use of natural coolants with reduced environmental impact, low noise levels, high reliability over time, and reduced overall dimensions,” stated Matteo Liberali, CEO of LU-VE Group. “We are proud to be recognized by EcoVadis because this important sustainability rating once again certifies the work of LU-VE towards increasingly sustainable goals, and underlines our commitment to operating according to the highest environmental and ethical standards in compliance with the values which have always characterized our Group.”

In 2021, LU-VE Group was one of the first companies to obtain Eurovent certification for CO2 unit coolers, being among the very first companies to have focused on the replacement of greenhouse gases (F-Gases) with natural refrigerants with low or no impact on the ozone layer. It was also the first company in Europe to obtain the “Certify All” certification from Eurovent in 2000 for all its ranges of condensers, dry coolers and unit coolers.

During this year, the Group was also selected as one of the 150 most sustainable companies, following research carried out by Statista GmbH (a German company specializing in market research and company data analysis) and also one of the “200 Green Stars of Italy – The most sustainable companies of 2021 ”(4th place in the ranking reserved for the mechanical industry), in an analysis prepared by the German Institute of Quality and Finance (ITQF) in collaboration with the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF) of Hamburg.
