Mitsubishi Electric Expands Data Center Cooling Business with New Subsidiary in UAE

Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A. (MEHITS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, has established a new company in the United Arab Emirates to expand its presence in the air conditioning and IT cooling market in the Middle East.

The new subsidiary, MEHITS Middle East FZCO, is located in the Dubai Airport Freezone. It aims to meet rising regional demand for data center cooling solutions by offering comprehensive one-stop services, including design support, sales, installation, operation, and maintenance.

The company will serve as a regional hub, enhancing service responsiveness and customer support. Its location in the Dubai Airport Freezone offers strategic advantages, aligning with the zone's development as a base for global companies across sectors such as trade, logistics, manufacturing, and IT.

MEHITS plans to create synergies with its other operations, particularly in India and China, where similar one-stop service systems are already in place, to leverage shared expertise and technological capabilities.

The move responds to the rapid growth in data center construction across the Middle East.
