Mitsubishi Electric’s intelli-HEAT Dual Fuel System Chosen as Gold-Level Winner

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC (METUS) announces that the intelli-HEAT Dual Fuel System has been chosen as a gold-level winner in the 2022 5th Annual Most Valuable Products (MVP) Awards from PRODUCTS Magazine.

The MVP Awards is an annual showcase of the best in building product design, innovation and efficacy. Every year, an expert panel of industry judges, composed of builders, remodelers and designers, comb through entries from the building products industry to determine the top innovations across more than a dozen categories.

intelli-HEAT Dual Fuel System consists of an exterior, electric, all-climate heat pump replacing an existing air-conditioning condenser and an interior unit installed on a customer’s furnace. The solution helps homeowners achieve a more electrified environment by seamlessly integrating heat pumps with gas furnace systems and reducing their fossil fuel usage.

“As the nation focuses on electrification and decarbonization, more homeowners, contractors and remodelers are looking for cleaner sources of heating and cooling for new and existing homes,” said Chris North, program manager, product marketing, Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC. “intelli-HEAT is designed to fit that need, providing a hybrid HVAC option that delivers less reliance on fossil fuels than the use of solely gas furnace systems.”

Overall, key benefits of the intelli-HEAT Dual Fuel System include:
  • Less reliance on fossil fuels than use of solely gas furnace systems
  • Indoor comfort
  • Cold- and warm-climate functionality.
  • A hybrid heating and cooling option remodelers and builders can offer homeowners.
