Mitsubishi Electric UK launches TrainME tool to support heat pump training

Mitsubishi Electric has introduced TrainME, a new digital tool designed to help installers, plumbers and engineers in the UK navigate the pathway to becoming professional heat pump installers.

The launch supports the growing need for a skilled workforce as the country accelerates its transition to low-carbon heating. TrainME provides users with a personalised training report based on their current skills, experience and career goals, outlining recommended qualifications and next steps — from entry-level training to MCS accreditation.

The tool also links directly to Mitsubishi Electric’s online training calendar, allowing users to book available courses. It is aimed at a wide range of professionals, including those entering the sector, experienced heating engineers seeking to upskill, and current heat pump installers aligning with industry requirements.

TrainME complements Mitsubishi Electric’s portfolio of accredited training, including LCL qualifications and manufacturer-led Ecodan heat pump training.

“As demand for heat pumps continues to grow, it’s vital that installers have access to clear, high-quality training pathways,” said James Chaplen, Head of Product Marketing and Communications at Mitsubishi Electric. “TrainME has been developed to remove complexity and give professionals confidence in the steps they need to take.”
