Modine has announced a $100 million investment to expand its U.S. manufacturing capacity for Airedale by Modine data center cooling products. The initiative supports growing demand from the U.S. data center sector and aims to strengthen the company's presence in high-growth digital infrastructure markets.
The investment, scheduled over the next 12–18 months, will expand production across four sites. This includes establishing a new facility in the Dallas, Texas area, expanding operations in Grenada, Mississippi, and evaluating the repurposing of existing Performance Technologies facilities in Franklin, Wisconsin, and Jefferson City, Missouri. The plan also covers enhancements in engineering, product development, and testing, along with job creation and retraining of current Modine employees.
Modine expects that increased demand, combined with this added capacity, could help drive its total data center revenue to nearly $2 billion in Fiscal 2028.
The expansion aligns with Modine’s local-for-local strategy, aiming to scale manufacturing in regions where demand is highest. Airedale by Modine’s offering includes high-efficiency chillers, indoor air systems, liquid cooling technologies, intelligent controls, and global service support. The company is also developing a modular data center platform for rapid deployment.
“Our investment in U.S. manufacturing for data center cooling advances our strategy to capitalize on our best opportunities in high-growth markets,” said Neil D. Brinker, Modine President and CEO.
“As the demand for data grows—driven by AI and high-density computing—Modine is expanding its capabilities to support the global growth of data centers,” said Art Laszlo, Group Vice President, Global Data Centers, at Modine.
