Modine, a global leader in thermal management solutions, has launched a new 23,200m² facility in Calgary, Canada. This facility will produce Airedale by Modine precision cooling equipment to cater to the rising demand from data center customers, particularly within the hyperscale sector.
Eric McGinnis, President of Climate Solutions, expressed enthusiasm for the opening: "We are excited to open this new facility in Calgary in support of our global expansion strategy. With our recently opened facility in Bradford, UK, we're ready to serve data center customers worldwide with a full range of Airedale by Modine technologies."
The facility builds on Modine's acquisition of Scott Springfield Manufacturing in February, marking its third site dedicated to manufacturing advanced air handling units for hyperscale data centers. This expansion enhances Modine's global manufacturing capabilities, which include facilities in Spain, the UK, and the U.S. The Calgary site expects to deliver its first units by the end of 2024.
Javier Vazquez, General Manager, praised the swift setup: "It's impressive to see such a quick operational turnaround from the planning stages to execution and setup of the new facility. The team involved did an amazing job to get us to this point."
