MOON-TECH Delivers MK Cold Chain Project in Thailand

Chinese manufacturer MOON-TECH completes high-spec cold storage system for Thai client.

MOON-TECH has successfully delivered a high-end automated cold storage system for the MK project in Thailand, marking a significant step in its expansion into Southeast Asia’s premium cold chain market. The project involved strict technical standards, fast-track delivery, and requirements for energy efficiency and system reliability.

The MK project is a local cold chain infrastructure initiative demanding high system stability and integrated service capabilities. MOON-TECH executed the project through a “headquarters support + local execution” model, drawing on both its global manufacturing network and local Thai team. System design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning were coordinated with BIM modeling, standardized drawings, and bilingual documentation to bridge language and regulatory gaps.

To address early client concerns about Chinese-made equipment, MOON-TECH arranged visits to reference sites and its Hartford Intelligent Compressor Factory in China. The client observed automated digital production lines and robust quality control processes. “The speed and quality of China have exceeded the world’s expectations,” the client commented after the visit.

MOON-TECH applied its strengths in intelligent manufacturing and integrated system design during execution. Training programs were held for local personnel, and millimeter-level installation precision was emphasized. Full-loop commissioning and strict safety standards contributed to the successful and timely delivery, earning recognition from the client and other suppliers.

The project signals growing trust in Chinese refrigeration technology in a market historically dominated by European and American brands. Following the MK project, multiple Thai cold chain companies have initiated cooperation with MOON-TECH. The company has established seven offices across six Southeast Asian countries, along with a manufacturing base in Vietnam and a service subsidiary in Indonesia.

“Through technical accumulation, system support, and local capability building, MOON-TECH is committed to expanding its global footprint,” the company stated. Under its “Going Global via the Sea” strategy, MOON-TECH plans to shift from representative offices to full corporate entities in Southeast Asia, further localizing operations and increasing regional market share.
