MOON-TECH’s Ultra-Low Temperature Cold Chain Project Begins Operations in Chongqing

The China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Cold Chain (Chongqing) Smart Industrial Park has been completed and is now operational. This facility is the first ultra-low temperature green smart cold chain infrastructure in Southwest China and is a key component of the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park.

Large-Scale Cold Chain Infrastructure

The project spans 225 acres, with a total investment of RMB 1.352 billion. Its overall storage capacity exceeds 1 million cubic meters. From its inception, the facility was designed to meet international first-class cold chain standards, with strict adherence to high-level refrigeration system design, equipment configuration, and installation.

Comprehensive Temperature Control

The facility features multiple temperature zones to meet a wide range of cold storage needs:

  • Ultra-low temperature storage: -55℃
  • Blast freezer: -35℃
  • Frozen storage: -18℃ to -25℃
  • Variable temperature storage: -18℃ to -25℃ / 0℃
  • Low-temperature buffer room: -25℃
  • Chilled storage: 0℃
  • Air-conditioned system: +12℃ to +20℃

Green Refrigeration Technology

The facility incorporates MOON-TECH’s self-developed CO₂ cascade refrigeration system, which integrates cascade and secondary refrigerant technologies. This solution minimizes the environmental impact of HCFC refrigerants while ensuring high-efficiency and energy-saving cooling operations.

MOON-TECH has spent over 20 years developing CO₂ refrigeration technology, applying it across industries such as cold chain logistics, poultry and livestock processing, industrial ice-making, and food deep processing. The company's solutions are widely used in China and international markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Peru, and Russia.

MOON-TECH continues to focus on sustainable and high-quality development, driving innovation in the refrigeration industry while contributing to global environmental goals.
