MOON-TECH Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with CHINA ENERGY INVESTMENT

MOON-TECH and CHINA ENERGY INVESTMENT have signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement during the Supply and Demand Matchmaking Conference of Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd. held on December 27. The event was co-hosted by the Yantai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Penglai District Government, and Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd., with representatives from Yantai City and CHINA ENERGY INVESTMENT in attendance.

The agreement positions MOON-TECH to contribute its technological expertise to projects at the Penglai Power Plant of Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd., focusing on waste energy utilization. This collaboration is aimed at fostering green and sustainable development in the region.

Focus on Green Development

In his address at the conference, MOON-TECH’s Executive Vice President, Shu Jianguo, highlighted the significance of the Penglai Power Plant project in enhancing power generation efficiency and securing a stable energy supply. He noted its role in bolstering the local economy, stabilizing industrial operations, and supporting residents’ daily living needs.

The project aligns with CHINA ENERGY INVESTMENT’s commitment to energy-saving and low-carbon initiatives. The company has invested in technologies such as waste heat utilization and time-shifted thermal energy storage. These efforts have led to the development of a composite energy storage and utilization platform, serving as a model for integrated energy systems.

MOON-TECH’s Technological Innovations

MOON-TECH is advancing green industrial transformation through innovations in areas like deep waste heat utilization, time-shifted thermal storage, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). The company has also made strides in achieving zero discharge of desulfurization wastewater. These breakthroughs are expected to enhance the Penglai Power Plant’s performance while contributing to a cleaner and more efficient energy sector.

The partnership aims to achieve key goals, including energy conservation, decarbonization of power generation, resource circularity, and intelligent energy management. This collaboration is a significant step toward the sustainable transformation of the region’s energy and industrial landscape.
