Mortimer von Tschirschky new Managing Director Central Europe at Carrier Transicold

Andreas Wallmeyer (61), Managing Director Central Europe for the past eight years and Managing Director of Carrier Transicold Deutschland GmbH for the past 16 years, has assumed a new role as Director, Business Transformation and Logistics, within the EMEA Executive Committee of Carrier Transicold Europe, effective May 3, 2021. The company appointed Mortimer von Tschirschky (45) to succeed him in the role of Managing Director Central Europe and Managing Director of Carrier Transicold Deutschland GmbH. In this position, von Tschirschky will be responsible for the German, Austrian, Belgian, Dutch and Luxembourg markets, where he will strengthen Carrier Transicold's position and drive the company's strategic direction. A particular focus will be the market introduction of new drive technologies such as the Vector eCool electric trailer system and the new, innovative Lynx Fleet telematics solution.

"I am very excited about my new role, especially as the industry is currently changing rapidly," says Mortimer von Tschirschky. "The need for ever lower CO2, exhaust and noise emissions and the ever increasing demands on the quality of the cold chain are among the major challenges that we continue to address together with our customers. Carrier Transicold's high level of innovation is a major contributor to the sustainable success of our customers."

Mortimer von Tschirschky combines more than 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and process improvement. After graduating with a Master of Business Administration from Hult International Business School in Boston (USA), von Tschirschky worked for several years at Continental in the passenger and commercial vehicle tyre division in Europe and China, most recently as Managing Director - North / West Europe Region. This was followed by further responsible positions in the material handling industry as well as in warehouse and logistics automation.
