Munters appoints Stefan Aspman as next President and CEO

Munters has appointed Stefan Aspman as its next President and CEO in a planned succession, with Klas Forsström set to step down in connection with the publication of the company’s interim report for the third quarter of 2026. Aspman currently serves as President of the business area Data Center Technologies (DCT) and is a member of the executive management team.

Following the third-quarter 2026 report, Forsström will remain with Munters in an advisory capacity until 31 December 2026 to ensure continuity during the transition. According to Magnus Nicolin, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Munters more than doubled in size during Forsström’s seven years as CEO, with net sales rising from approximately SEK 7 billion [about USD 0.7 billion] to over SEK 15 billion [about USD 1.4 billion].

Aspman is in his sixth year at Munters and has been part of the executive management team since joining in 2021. He has served as President of DCT and Group Vice President since mid-2022, and from 2021 to early 2023 also held the role of Group Vice President Commercial Excellence. Before joining Munters, he spent eleven years at Sandvik in senior strategic leadership roles across finance, commercial and technical functions.

The Board said Aspman has been a key contributor to Munters’ strategy transformation and that DCT has been the company’s primary growth engine in recent years, with exposure to AI-driven data center demand. “I am grateful for the trust the Board has placed in me,” said Stefan Aspman, incoming President and CEO. Munters said it will begin the recruitment process for a new President of DCT.
