NAVAC opens HVAC training center in Kentucky with technician-first focus

NAVAC has launched the NAVAC Technical Training Center (NTTC) in Versailles, Kentucky, offering hands-on HVAC training tailored to working technicians. The new 1,700-square-foot facility reflects the company’s commitment to real-world, practical education and workforce development in the HVAC sector.

According to the company, NTTC sessions are designed and led by licensed HVAC contractors and limited to ten participants per class, allowing for personalized instruction. The curriculum includes both basic and advanced topics such as evacuation, recovery, system troubleshooting, and piping layout. NAVAC’s own tools and equipment are used throughout the training.

The training approach draws analogies between refrigeration and the local bourbon distillation process to help make technical concepts more relatable. The NTTC also serves as an internal learning space for NAVAC staff from various departments to better understand end-user needs.

NAVAC’s User Experience Department, comprised of licensed technicians, ensures that training content remains practical and jobsite-relevant. The facility also includes a studio to produce video content, podcasts, and virtual training modules for a broader digital reach.

“We’re redefining HVAC education by focusing on personalized, practical learning that mirrors the challenges technicians face in the field every day,” said Andrew Greaves, Director of Customer Experience at NAVAC.
