Astrid Prado and Samantha Buckell have been named the new Co-Chairs of the Institute of Refrigeration's Women in RACHP Network (WiRACHP), taking over from Lisa-Jayne Cook who has assumed the role of IOR President. The appointments were announced on November 5.
Prado and Buckell are committed to advancing the network's mission by organizing events aimed at enhancing practical skills and supporting personal development. They plan to continue the award-winning podcast, The States of Matter, and introduce a new blog featuring articles on industry topics with guest bloggers from the RACHP sector.
Astrid Prado expressed her vision, emphasizing the importance of empowering women and promoting diversity in the sector. She aims to build on the network's collaborative values and create opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.
Sam Buckell also highlighted her enthusiasm for driving new initiatives and engaging with women in the industry. She looks forward to working with the committee and IOR President to continue producing the network's popular podcast and blog.
