The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) has elected Bill Kynast, Senior Vice President of Sales at Chobani, as Chair of its Board for the 2025–2026 term. The announcement was made during the Association’s Annual Board of Directors Meeting on October 18, 2025, with new Board Members confirmed at the NFRA Convention’s Annual Membership Meeting.
Kynast has served on the NFRA Board since 2019 and held the position of Chair-Elect from 2024 to 2025. He is also a member of the Honorable Order of Golden Penguins, a recognition within the organization.
“It’s an incredible honor to serve as Chair of the NFRA Board,” said Kynast. “Our industry continues to evolve quickly, and NFRA plays a unique role in uniting brands, retailers, and partners to drive growth, innovation, and consumer connection.”
Additional elected officers for the 2025–2026 term include Shannon Gilreath of Rich’s Consumer Brands as Chair-Elect, Derek DeMuth of Ajinomoto Foods North America as Secretary, and Lindsey Hickey of Simek’s as Treasurer. Scott Evans of Associated Wholesale Grocers and Kevin Herd of Danone North America were named Vice Chairman, Frozen and Vice Chairman, Refrigerated, respectively.
Newly elected Board Members include representatives from Acosta, Tyson Foods, Kraft Heinz, Conagra Brands, Coca-Cola, General Mills, Palermo Villa, Save A Lot, Nestlé USA, The Kroger Company, Schwan’s Consumer Brands, RealCOLD, and Bimbo Bakeries.
